News on Eros

Q & A release Winter 2007:

Can you give me an overview?

In October of 2006, before starting work out of Aberdeen, Eros contacted Grampian Police for advice about his Police costume and props, with regard to the law.  He received no response even though he chased this up again later.  In March 2007 Grampian Police reported Eros with a charge of impersonation of a police officer and three charges of possessing an offensive weapon in public; his costume and props were seized.  The Procurator Fiscal then dropped the impersonation charge and the uniform items were returned in July; two weeks later Grampian Police then seized them again.  Another uniform was seized on the 24th of November. The trials for these two cases now go into February and March of 2008.

Why is he being targetted for action by the Police?

No one likes to be imitated for the purpose of entertainment - sometimes our performers receive scornful comments from real fire service and military personnel whilst wearing these respective costumes.  It has been suggested that a few members of the Police service have taken this comical imitation to heart.  Like most people we do not believe the law has been broken in any circumstance; and see no reason why we should stop providing the service and costume requested.

We at Alpha are governed by very exacting standards and policies with regard to professional conduct and interaction with the public; this also extends to our performances.  Based on our own thorough investigation, we are confident that there has been no wrongdoing on the part of Eros; our rules and guidelines have been strictly adhered to, and we believe so was the law.  As his agent and employer we will fully support Eros to ensure he is not penalised for carrying out his profession in the professional and responsible manner he is famous for.

To quote so many of our customers sentiment: "It's unbelievable, he's just a stripper doing what strippers do."

After numerous discussions and legal advice we have decided to continue to offer our popular Police stripagram service in a slightly altered form (minus a real baton) and so will honour all bookings where this has been requested and continue to take further bookings.

Although it is against our policy of protecting the personal details of our strippers we can confirm that Stuart Kennedy is Eros's real name.

As a point of interest, we can confirm that although Eros is now very well-known across the whole of the UK, we have no intention of increasing his prices because of this.

Thank you for all the comments we've received; we've passed on all your messages to Eros and he is thankful for your supportive words.

Please see the upcoming events page for the dates of the trials or the two separate cases.  Dates for other court dates are available on request.
